Alrighty its that time of year again...where I drag the kids down to the picture place and torture them and bribe them into taking pictures for me. Every year I ask myself the samething....WHY? I dont know why I do it to myself. I should just take the pictures myself but every year I am down there. For those of you who know Emily and how moody she is, well on picture day that was no different. She cried the entire time and kept crying the whole time tell all of us that she dont like cheeessseee and shes not going to say it!! I was a hard 20 minutes for her and for the boys trying to take pictures and there little sister just going crazy! Anyways these are what we got. I didnt order a bunch cause I wasn't overly excited...to tell you the truth I just wanted to get the heck out of there, it was packed and with Emily it wasnt very fun! The last three would of been my favs but her glasses feel and I didnt like that! For those lucky enough to get pictures I will be mailing them sometime next week unless of course you are Nana and Papa...your pictures are being mailed tomorrow :)

Our sweet little boy turned 6 on July 4th. The highlight of his day was the brand new camera he got (thanks Nana and Papa)! He LOVES it as you can see by the pictures below.

Potty Training Fun

Its been awhile again but in my defense the kids are home from school for the summer so we have been busy. Also our computer SUCKED and Jason the awesome guy he is finally got the computer hes been building finished so we now have a totally awesome FAST working computer. I need to have him put my camera stuff back so I can post some pictures.

Anyways now on to potty training. I can offically say that girls are way easier to train or well in my experince it has been. The boys where alot harder and it didnt happen untill they where almost three. I started with Emily back in March and she caught on and never looked back. Potty training is a process and takes months to get the full hang of it but I would say as of right now shes 70% there. She wears her big panties all day and when going places now too, no accidents and is sooooo proud. She now only wears a diaper for her nap (which she hates but I need her to take a good nap not a short one) and at night. Weve also had no luck getting her to go #2 in the potty but I will take what I can get. My diaper bill has been cut by 60 percent with her only using 2 diapers per day (nap and night) YEAH!!!

Emily has also managed to tell her beloved Kiki (pacifer) goodbye and she did it all on her own. I was dreading this day cause I thought she was gonna throw a fit and such but she did so much better than expected. She has now been pacifer free for 9 days now. She got to go to the dollar store and buy all sorts of treasures for being such a big girl.

Next on the list but not too soon is to turn her crib into a toddler bed but since shes not asking and still LOVES her crib I will just let her be. I cant believe my little girl is already 2 1/2! Where has the time gone?

Pool Upgrade

My wild children where only able to last 3 days in the other smaller pool before somehow getting a hole in the top of it. We decided to take it back because I dont think our monsters are going to last in it. Hopefully this new bigger version will be much better!

A couple weeks ago I took Emily to the eye doctor after noticing her right eye looked out of focus or just looked off. The eye doctor said she cant see far away. At this point where not sure if she will out grow this or will be a permanet thing. As of right now shes supposed to wear them all waking hours of the day. Since this is day #1 I am not pushing it and hoping she will just take to them.

Mardi Gras Fun

Its a little late but the kids where in our town parade two weeks ago for the Mardi Gras parade. They enjoyed it very much riding on the floats. Then last weekend we went to another parade where they had just as much fun.

I still dont get what all the hype is all about but people out here go crazy for Mardi Gras.

I sure do!! Aren't they pretty? It was so time for us to upgrade our *old* stuff and get some better. We a family of 5 where trying really hard to cram our stuff into our old small 14cft LITTLE frig. Now we have all this room and plenty of space awwwww!! Our washer was also going out so we upgraded and got us a new one too. Now I shouldnt have to complain anymore about the clothes not getting clean. I also shouldnt complain that I dont have room for food especially with a new frig, old frig and our other freezer. Hopefully I can keep up and keep them all stocked up!

Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday

Is NOT a good idea!! The kids had a birthday party to go to today at Chuck E Cheese and lets just say that it was a horriable!! Jason had to work so I had to take the kids by myself. We had to hike all the way to the door and then stand in line forever just to get inside to a party that was reserved. There was 500 people, 300 of them kids all running around in this little place. I didnt even get to see the birthday kid. The party was very rushed and I bet they payed a fortune for it. Emily ended up throwing up right before we where getting ready to leave. I am not sure if it was from the kiddy rides or the greasy pizza. Then the kids wanted to stand in line behind 20 people to cash in there big winnings (Joshua 26 tickets, Tyler 39 tickets) just so they could get a little airhead. I talked them in to just leaving and stopping at the liquor store for 2 candys paid for by mom. All in all I hope we never have to go back to Chuck E Cheese on a weekend again.

Nothing New Update

Not much is going on this month I suppose or nothing exciting I should say. The boys are back at school now. The weathers been crazy with a few warm days and then really cold days thrown in. We all have really bad colds right now that wont go away. Emily is still having her skin issues and its really depressing me not knowing whats going on. Shes starting to talk more which is really good. We love listening to her talk and tell us what she wants.

hmm lets see what else..... our neighbor got a horse so that means he gives the kids horse rides. Tyler and Emily love it and Joshua I dont think is sure yet if he likes it. Tyler's already asked for a horse for his birthday, sadly he will not be getting one LOL! The boys have also tried out there new fishing poles and love it. They have even already caught a few fish. I think thats about it on us.

Thankfully in our house Christmas is DONE and I could not be prouder of myself. All of our shopping was finished up last month and if I may say I am so proud of this. We started slowly shopping back in July to get a head start. Shopping for three kids is ALOT of work and money. I *believe* we got each child what they most wanted. Christmas lights went up on the house the day after Thanksgiving and they look oh so good....... thanks to Jason. The house is decorated with what decorations I have. I really need more stuff but I guess thats what each year is for to collect more stuff. We got the tree on Thursday and it was nicely decorated last night by all three of the children. I of course had to fix the tree after they went to bed because they had 5 ornaments in several spots. Emily is still very not sure of the tree and keeps moving the ornaments around. All that needs to be done is wrapping of the gifts, in which I will do this week while the kids are in school. I wont have to worry about Emily telling what they are either because as of now she is still a good secret keeper. My mom will be joining us for Christmas and will be arriving on the 19th and I can not wait. I will try and post pictures later of our tree. So as of now I can say that Christmas shopping/decorating complete.

Well soccer is offically over now.......well except next week Joshua's team plays in a tournament game and then it will be over. Joshua loves soccer ALOT with surprised both Jason and I since he is not really into sports. Tyler liked it too except I think he was more interested in chasing the other kids around then the ball. They both got little medals for all there hard work. Yesterday at Tylers game with the help of the coaches he scored his first goal and was so excited especially since mom and dad promised $5.00 for the first goal :)

Poor little guy is home from school today because he was up half the night with an ear ache. A quick trip to the doctors confirmed what I thought, he has an ear infection. I feel so bad for him, I hate it when my kids are sick. Jason is on his way to pick up his medicines for him right now because when i went to drop them off they said an hour for pick up and Tyler just wanted to go home. Heres my little guy sooooooo tired.

Hello AGAIN!! I am back :)

Wow I cant believe its been a whole month since the last time I posted anything. I do have some good excuses though........ First and foremost the last few times I tried to get on here my computer hasn't liked me and would not let me log into here. I tried quite a few times and was just about to give up when it let me this morning YEAH! The family has been keeping me quite busy. I turned 28 two weeks ago and I cant quite believe it. I feel like the years are just flying by, maybe it just seems that way when you have kids? Both boys are loving every minute of school but come home with loads of home work and reading which keeps me very busy. I swear who knew second grade math could be so hard. The boys have been playing soccer too so between practices and games during the week and weekends there hasnt been much time. Emily is doing great but as of right now where dealing with some skin issues. We have been to the doctor several times and she has been on several different meds and creams for the last 6 weeks trying to figure this out. As of right now the current meds seem to be working so please keep your fingers crossed that it clears it up and it dont return. Fall is here and the weather is changing so my current chore is trying to switch out the summer clothes to fall clothes. I will try and get on here more often but for now I will leave some pictures of my little ones.

Sad/Sick Kitty

Awww our poor sweet Bella is sick. Last week we took her to get fixed (which she was not happy about). Once we brought her home she looked fine and we just let her relax for the first few days. Well Monday when I woke up she was have a hard time breathing and was having 'kitty' sneezes and coughing. A quick couple calls to the vet and they said that sometimes when animals go under the knife they can develop a respitory infection. Jason went down and bought Bella her kitty meds. Once we got home I read the bottle and its amoxicillan, who knew that they got the same meds that we get when we are sick. Where on day 4 of the meds and they seem to be working. Shes not breathing bad anymore but shes still has a little cough and sneeze. She finally started eating more too which is so good.

Chilli's Anyone?

Every year in August/September we buy these chilli's when they are in season. They come from New Mexico and they are so good. This year we bought 30 pounds worth, which should last us at least 6-8 months. If you need some chilli you know where to come! After all was said and done we ended up with 150 chilli's in the freezer, not bad!

Hurricane Gustav has come and gone and I could not be happier! On September 1st we had a visit from him in which we got LOTS of wind and rain. Once he was gone we where left with no power for 5 1/2 days. Let me first say that it is not very fun being without power and its even harder when you have three kids who love to have power for there games and tv. We had several trees fall all around the house. Our cable line fell and then was ripped off by some nice truck driving down our street. Where not sure when they will be able to come out and repair it so for now we have no cable/internet or phone. We lived for 5 days out of an ice chest and could not be anymore happier then when the power came on. Heres some pictures of what hurricane Gustav left behind.

Hurricane a coming?

Well we have lived in Louisiana for almost 2 1/2 years now and have not seen or been through a hurricane. We've managed to see a few rain storms, have our yard flooded but thats it. As of now it looks like we may indeed get to go through a hurricane and his name his Gustav. Not sure what to expect.....but where told LOTS of wind and rain and most likely will loose power. The boys have Monday off for Labor Day and the school cancelled school on Tuesday.

Its kind of scarey not knowing what to expect. I went to the store and we bought plenty of water, canned foods, toilet paper, diapers and candles. Its better to be prepared than not at all. I have my fingers crossed that its just a little hurricane.

Kindergarten Blues :(

Thursday was Tylers first offical day of Kindergarten. He of course was so excited and even up that morning before anyone else. I on the other hand didnt sleep great and woke up crying and sad. I of course am not sad he going to school but more for the fact that hes growing up and I am going to miss having him at home. When I took him that morning he looked so happy and of course told me that he would be fine. Later that afternoon on his arrival home he let me know he had the best day ever and couldnt wait to go again.

Summer Vacation is Over :(

Sadly summer vacation is over. It seems like Joshua just went on summer break back in May. Here we are again in August with school starting again but not only do we have one child going to school we now have two. Joshua is now in the 2nd grade and now our other little boy is now in kindergarten. This week was busy for us. Thursday we had kindergaten orientation, followed by meeting the teacher. I am very happy with Tylers teacher and I hope he has a great year with her. Joshua started school Friday morning and his teacher also seems very nice. We got up this morning and went and registered both boys in soccer, which we are very excited about. Monday I am taking Tyler to his kindergarten evaluation and he offically starts school on Thursday. I have no idea what Emily and I are going to do with out both of the boys here all day.

Emily is 19 months old and I have taken over 1000 pictures of her and we hardly ever get a smile. She is a very serious picture taker BUT I was able to capture these very rare pictures the other night. Look at that smile!!

Summer Already

Wow I cant believe it June already. It seems like it was just January 1st of this year and I was awaiting the birth of our baby girl Emily. Now here it is 5 months later and she is now a whole 5 months old. Emily is getting bigger and bigger each and every day.
